July is gone...

Again, it has been a while and so here I am putting up a bunch of pictures, with a few description here and there. That is just how I roll. I am sorry if you don't like this format, it is just how things are going to proceed.

 

We went to a great zoo in Attleboro, called the Capron Zoo. After the Fun Free Friday debacle, we wanted to find something a low-key and still within our price range. The Capron zoo fit the bill. It was really quite inexpensive and it had a good amount of animals and a splash pad. We loved it!

Here are the kids playing at Tangerini's. Sorry, we do that a lot these days. It is beautiful! And look at all those awesome sand toys.

Here are some carrots I thinned. I was proud to say that something grew. My tomatoes are doing fantastically. I am excited for the harvest of our meager garden. 

 

2 week ago, Jimmy got some Red Sox tickets. We went as a family, even though it was late, though we only stayed through the 5th inning. Turns out the game got much better after we left and they actually won.

Here is Sam's shirt, which is the shirt Lucy wore when she was 3 months old (it was big on her then). Sam is such a little peanut.

And this is Sam and me all worried, because the game really wasn't going that well. Sam loved all the people to watch. He flirted with people 4 or 5 rows back.

The next day we went to the Boston Children's museum. Beforehand we went to lunch at Jimmy's favorite restaurant in Boston No Names. It was good, though it was quite a hike with all the construction.

The Museum was great. Lucy got to play with bubbles, water, and even drive a school bus (which was her favorite).

And to complete this post, I have put up a few pictures from our excursion to Canobie Lake Park. Lucy was able to ride several rides, mostly rides that went around a circle. It was perfect. She could go on them alone, and they weren't really scary.

This scares me a bit. Though she drives like an old lady, with her face 2 inches from the steering wheel.

Unfortunately I did not get a single picture of our camping trip this past weekend. The camera was not charged. The story of my life. But we went to Saugus MA, to a small camp with 3 campsites and a few ponds. It was really quite nice. Besides trying to keep the children out of the fire I do believe it went quite well. We borrowed a tent big enough to put the pack-n-play in, and Lucy and Sam slept in the big tent and we slept in our two man directly next door. After a decent night's rest we went on a short hike and then to the Iron Works national monument. We saw the large waterwheels that worked the furnace and iron making machines and even saw a nail formed by their "blacksmith." It was very interesting. And it was free and about 3 miles from our campsite. It was well worth the visit.

Jimmy wanted me to put up some videos from our latest adventures. I have another post coming with a bunch of pictures. Sam hasn't been sleeping well during naps so things haven't happened....

But here are some videos. One is from Lucy's dance class. She is having a fabulous time, and she is learning how to listen and be patient. These are important things, I tell you!

The other video is from our trip to Canobie lake park. I will write more about this later. The video should suffice for now.

Walking and dancing

This is Sam walking at the pool. He is such a cute kid, especially in that hat.

Lucy was part of a 2 week swimming lesson. She loved it! I loved it because it was a really small class, and it was only 5 minutes away. Too bad it costs a lot of money to get a membership so now we have to find other places to swim for the rest of the summer. I do miss my lakes and ponds in Nelson right about now.

Now we are on to dance lessons. I wish I could portray the love that is movement for Lucy. She is moving all the time. These dance lessons are good because they teach her how to listen and be a little more coordinated. As of now I think she falls more than Sam, and he only start walking a month ago. The videos I got were sub par, I will try to get some better ones this week.

 

In other news, I am still running. Yesterday I ran 16 miles without any hitches. It is good to know I can still do it, with minor soreness and a pleasant attitude afterwards. Although I was quite dazed today. That might be because my children were up before 6 am. oh well!
