21 days.....3 weeks

Jimmy and I are officially 3 weeks away from our wedding. Can I get a wahoo?!

These last few weeks have been very stressful. And you may say, well duh! You are are getting married soon. Well, it is actually the fact that we don't have much to do that has been making it hard. I am have become a royal spaz about life, and Jimmy has to lull me into reality and remind me that everything is going to be alright. He really is amazing.

This week has been pretty uneventful. My advisor is gone, so I have to wait for his e-mails to really get anywhere, and the work is slow anyways. Plus, all I think about is going home and getting married. Distraction to the max. Tomorrow we may be going to the Vernal Temple. I am always excited for these weekly excursions. It is a chance for my mind to clear a bit.

Just thought I would keep you updated. The flowers are just a reminder of how much I love nature....random....

The latest happenings!

I think I need to figure out a more efficient way to upload pictures. This is all I have the gusto for, as of now. They do however, give a pretty good description of what we have been doing lately. On Friday, Pioneer day, we hiked Mount Timpanogas. It was a good 14 mile hike, and I was sufficiently burned to a crisp afterwards. But it was beautiful and I really did enjoy being outside. Earleir that week we participated in the Pinewood Derby, as was explained in the last post. Here we are with the winning car. Hopefully I will be more motivated to post pictures later.

Optimus and Bolt...winning cars!

Yesterday was a very exciting event. As a Church group we re-enacted our boy scout days and had a pine wood derby. Generally every Monday we meet as smaller groups to talk about Gospel related topics and enjoy each other's company. This week all the groups made cars and we raced against each other. It was fantastic! Our group made two cars, one in honor of Transformers, Optimus Prime, and the other well...we named Bolt, because it did in fact have a bolt attached to it. There was no weight limit or restrictions. To our suprize, Optimus came in third and with the help of my physics related knowledge, Bolt won! Yeah, you heard me, Bolt won. We had to race the two fastest cars numerous times because it looked like a tie each time, but in the end, with it witnessed on camera Bolt surpassed the other fast-moving car shaped as a double-decker bus. It is always fun to remember what it is like to be a kid. I promise I will add some pictures when I get a minute to upload them.

am Harry Potter

Jimmy and I decided to go to a 5:30 am showing of Harry Potter. I have never been to a midnight showing, and since they were sold out, we went for early in the morning. We are more morning people anyways. I say that, but in reality I am exhausted right now. The other perk of the whole situation is that at 5:30 am they charge matinee price. Hooray!

I guess I should voice my opinion of the movie. It was good. It was Harry Potter. Of course they are going to mess up the story a little, and of course it will be a little aburpt sometimes, but all in all it was action-packed and fun. Enough that I was able to stay awake the whole movie.

Our Fearless Leaders have Returned

Today was a special Sunday. Jen, Jimmy and I headed up to Taylorsville where my mission President and his wife would be speaking for their homecoming. It was fabulous. There were over 30 old missionaries, many I had not seen since the mission. The funniest part of the exciting "reunion" was when President organized a zone-conference looking picture. For those who have served missions you will see what I mean.

We saw the Wakefields who took care of us in Madrid, and some other fabulous people that I have missed. It is wonderful thing to know such fantastically caring people. I was honored to serve with them. I just thought I would share some of the pictures.

I should post more often

I realized that I get really antzy when people don't post enough. I love reading about people's lives...let's face it, I am a stalker ;) So, I thought it should be my turn to post again. This last week has been pretty exciting. My cousin Sacha was married last Friday, and then we spent the weekend with Jimmy grandparents. It was exhausting, but all in all very fun.

I will explain some of the events in more detail. Sacha's wedding was a joyous occasion. Her new husband James seemed absolutely pleasent. We spent time with Sacha's family, and with some other relatives that I have not seen in a while. My grandmother's half-sister lives in Idaho Falls. She is great! I love the humor that all of my gramma's sisters exude. They are hilarious. Plus for the first time, I met some second cousins. It is always fun to meet people you are related too. My grandmother's sister has the same birthday as my dad, and kept saying just how much I looked like him.

After our funfilled day (we woke up at 4 am, and got to Jimmy's grandparents at 11:30pm), we slept. Hooray for sleep! We woke up relatively early to go to the Murray parade. It was a fun, small town parade that provided us with many sweet treats. Yum! Jimmy was better than most of the kids at drive-bombing for the last tootsie roll. Haha! It was fun to watch!

We then spent the day gorging ourselves with Fourth of July goodies, ribs, candy, lots of fruit, potatoe salad and the like. And our filler game was Bang, a fun card-like game that Jimmy has. It kept us quite busy.

Sunday was normal. We had a potluck with our Church and Jimmy made some spicey potatoe salad, using chipotle. He admitted to liking my roommate Jen's better, but that was because hers was completely homemade and delicious. The day was just fine. I was feeling kind of sick, and have been since, but life goes on and I make what I can of it.

Oh, and the biggest news of all. We sent out all of our announcements this week! Hooray, hooray, hooray! Mostly everyone has received theirs which is exciting. Everyone except my Mom, which is killing her, since everyone is telling her how much they like them. I hope she gets them soon.

And that my friends, is my life.
