the AT

The Appalachian Trail was our latest Virginian adventure. We only spent 30 minutes hiking due to Jimmy's work schedule and my silly little cold. It was however, a beautiful day to get outside and hike along the one of the longest trails in the US of A.

A little bit of ivy...

Trees oh how I love thee!

  2. Oh I love the AT! I spent a few weeks on the trail back in my college days. I really wanted to hike the entire thing- and would love to do more someday.... Glad you are able to!

  3. Why the stop sign? Are they trying to stop the ivy?

  4. I thought it conveyed the invasive nature of the ivy...but mostly I just thought it was a cool picture. I am still trying to figure out if it is really ivy. Heather? Mom? Thoughts?

  5. I stand corrected thanks to Grandma Nancy and my mom. The plant is Kudzo, an invasive species running rampant in the southern states.
